AutoZone coming to Aldi shopping center

This storefront has been empty since Rite Aid closed in February 2019.

AutoZone is in the early stages of opening a new location in the space formerly occupied by Rite Aid at the Aldi shopping center.

County records show the auto parts company has been granted permits to put up a sign and renovate the interior of the space at 8244 Richmond Highway (see map).

Representatives from AutoZone did not respond to an email seeking information about when the new location will open, or if the new location will have any effect on the AutoZone store located at 7415 Richmond Highway.

The Rite Aid formerly at that location closed in February 2019.
