3 men shot Tuesday afternoon near Telegraph Road

Police are advising members of the public to call police if they see this car.

Three men were wounded in two separate shootings on Tuesday afternoon near Telegraph Road and North Kings Highway.

Police say the two shootings are believed to be related, with one occurring in the 6400 block of Telegraph Road (see map) and the other happening near the 2700 block of James Drive (see map). All three victims’ injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening, according to police. All three victims are adults, but specific ages were not released as of Tuesday evening.

Late Tuesday night Fox 5 reporter Allison Papson posted surveillance video that shows two men getting out of a car near the intersection of Telegraph Road and Highland Drive and opening fire with handguns. Each man fires multiple shots back towards a small commercial center that includes a dog daycare and a recording studio. The men then run back into the car and flee northbound on Telegraph Road.

Papson also posted another video here, which appears to show a different view of how the incident unfolded, including another barrage of bullets hitting a different car. A man runs from the backseat and another person appears to shoot from inside the vehicle before the car flees up Telegraph Road.

Detectives are looking into whether the shootings are gang-related, police said in a tweet. That marks the second shooting in less than 24 hours that police believe may involved gangs. On Monday night around 11:10 p.m., two teenagers were wounded in a shooting in Gum Springs. The two victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries after a shooting at a playground in the Westford development on Fordson Court (see map).

No arrests have been announced in any of the shootings, but police are looking for a four-door Mitsubishi sedan (pictured above) in connection with the Tuesday afternoon incidents. Police did not say if Monday’s shooting and Tuesday afternoon’s shootings are believed to be related; a spokesman was not immediately available Tuesday night for more information.

Telegraph Road was briefly closed in both directions between Rose Hill Drive and Climbhill Road around 5 p.m. as police investigated Tuesday afternoon’s shooting.

The location of Tuesday’s shooting on Telegraph Road, a small commercial strip that his home to a recording studio, is the same spot where a February shooting occurred. Two men were arrested in May in connection with that incident.
