Police blotter: Boost Mobile store robbed at gunpoint

Another armed robbery was reported over the weekend, according to Monday’s Fairfax County Police blotter.

A man with a gun stole money and store merchandise from a Boost Mobile at 8524 Richmond Highway (see map) on Saturday morning around 7:30 a.m. The robber fled the scene on foot, and no injuries were reported by the police.

The suspect was described as being a slim black man in his 20s, around 5 foot 10 inches to 6 foot 2 inches tall.

The robbery is at least the 18th in the Richmond Highway area in a little over a month.

Burglary: Homeowners in 8400 block of Cherry Valley Lane (see map) found their basement window broken and personal items missing from the home around 6:30 p.m. on March 8.
