Update: Mobile DMV at Sherwood Regional Library moving to Mondays
The new mobile DMV program at the Sherwood Regional Library will now be held on every third Monday of the month, rather than the third Wednesday, Del. Paul Krizek’s office announced today.
The move was made to avoid parking conflicts with the McCutcheon/Mount Vernon Farmer’s Market, which is also held on Wednesdays from May through early December. The change will not affect any of the services offered by the DMV at the library.
Krizek announced last month that the DMV Connect and DMV 2 Go programs were coming to Sherwood, giving Richmond Highway-area residents a more convenient option for their DMV-related needs. The first session was held at the library on Feb. 22. Sixty transactions were conducted that day, according to DMV spokeswoman Brandy Brubaker.
The DMV will alternate each month between the mobile bus in the library’s parking lot (DMV 2 Go) and setting up inside the library (DMV Connect). The next DMV at the library will be on March 20. DMV Connect’s hours are 10:15 a.m. to 4 p.m., while DMV 2 Go’s hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
