Man arrested for allegedly filming men in Home Depot bathrooms

A 23-year-old Fort Belvoir man was arrested Wednesday after police say he secretly filmed 19 men without their consent at two Home Depots — including the one at the Mount Vernon Plaza shopping center.

Dquarius Willis, 23, faces three charges of unlawful filming or photographing, a misdemeanor. He is free on $2,500 bond.

The Fairfax County Police say the images were discovered by Fort Belvoir Military Police officers two months ago during a search of his phone. An investigation ensued, and police believe that Willis filmed men in the restrooms of the Home Depot at 7710 Richmond Highway as well the location at 6691 Frontier Drive in Springfield.

Willis allegedly put a recording device in a bag on the ground between the dividers of the bathroom stalls, police said. All of the victims are believed to be adults; only three have been identified by police so far.

The filmings are believed to have happened in the morning hours.

It is not clear whether Willis is stationed at Fort Belvoir if he is a military dependent living there.

The FCPD is trying to identify other victims in the case, and are asking anyone with information to call Detective Edward Carpenter with the Mount Vernon Criminal Investigations Section at 703-360-8400, or email him at Edward.Carpenter@fairfaxcounty.gov.
