Local students make all-state band, chorus, orchestra

Ten students from Richmond Highway-area high schools were among 176 students from FCPS recently selected to the 2020 All-Virginia Band, Chorus, and Orchestra.

The local students hailed from Edison, Hayfield and West Potomac. They would have joined their peers from around the state to perform at the Greater Richmond Convention Center later this month, but that event was cancelled due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Six of this year’s honorees have been selected for all-state honors in previous years (noted by *).

All of the local students selected:

Edison:

Hayfield:
