The new E.P. Nursery, founded by the owner of E.P. Mowing and Landscaping, is expected to hold its grand opening in early April, according to Enrique Pisfil, general manager of the business and son of the owner.

Final inspections for the 7,000 square-foot building located at 8753 Richmond Highway (see map) are set for late next week with move-in planned soon thereafter, Pisfil said.

Besides plants and trees, the nursery will sell all colors of mulch, soil, stones, firewood, fertilizer and home gardening tools. Now that the facility is close to completion, the owners are looking to hire a full-time retail specialist to serve as garden center manager.

The nursery, built by Genuario Construction Company — also headquartered along the Richmond Highway corridor — was originally slated to open last spring but experienced some unforeseen delays, according to Pisfil.
