Police blotter: January 21-26
The following incidents from the Mount Vernon Police District were reported in the Fairfax County Police’s daily blotters from this past week.
From Monday’s blotter:
Robbery: The victim was approached by three men in the 2200 block of Huntington Avenue around 11:05 p.m. on January 26. The men assaulted him and stole personal property.
Traffic Pursuit: Officers were called to check on a man asleep behind the wheel on South Kings Highway near Telegraph Road around 11:05 p.m. on January 25. An officer saw the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee and tried to wake up the driver. He sped away and after a short pursuit, crashed into a guardrail. A 30-year-old man from Bowie, Maryland was charged with DWI and refusal of blood or breath test.

Larceny: 3100 block of Lockheed Boulevard, beer from business
Larceny: 6300 block of Richmond Highway, merchandise from business
Larceny: 6600 block of Richmond Highway, merchandise from business

Larceny: 7700 block of Richmond Highway, tools from business
Larceny: 8200 block of Richmond Highway, sodas from business

Larceny: 7900 block of Audubon Avenue, glasses and bag from vehicle
Larceny: 2400 block of Fort Drive, property from vehicle

Larceny: 2500 block of Parkers Lane, license plate from vehicle
Larceny: 7700 block of Richmond Highway, merchandise from business
Incidents reported in last Wednesday’s blotter:
Commercial Burglary: Someone broke into the Ministerio Pentecostal Church at 8726 Richmond Highway around 10:35 a.m. on January 21 and stole property.
Larceny: 3100 block of Lockheed Boulevard, merchandise from business
Larceny: 6300 block of Richmond Highway, merchandise from business
Incidents reported in last Tuesday’s blotter:
Commercial Robbery: A man entered the lobby of the Moon Inn Hotel at 6140 Richmond Highway, assaulted the clerk and displayed a knife while demanding money. The victim was treated at a nearby hospital for injuries that were not life threatening.
