Man injured in Fordson Road stabbing (updated)

A man was critically injured in a stabbing Sunday morning in the Gum Springs area.

The Fairfax County Police Department announced on Twitter that the adult male — no specific age was given — was stabbed in the 7900 block of Fordson Road (see map). The police said there was no threat to public safety and that “all parties are accounted for.”

Police said Monday that the stabbing victim had broken into the residence of a previous acquaintance and that a fight ensued with multiple people inside the home. The man who broke in was stabbed during the altercation and then left the home before being taken to the hospital.

The stabbing victim is currently in stable condition. No arrests have been made and the incident remains under investigation, police said.
