A Centreville man has been arrested and charged in connection with the murder of one man and the wounding of another in a double shooting earlier this week in Hybla Valley.

Jeremiah Mouzon, 20, faces a second-degree murder charge, as well as charges of malicious shooting and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Mouzon is accused of shooting brothers Jayden and Kamren Quick early Monday morning in the 7900 block of Sausalito Place in the Sequyah neighborhood. Jayden Quick, 20, died in the shooting, while Kamren Quick, 18, was seriously wounded.

Police say Mouzon was arrested in Prince George’s County after detectives from the FCPD’s Major Crimes Bureau identified him as a suspect and tracked him to Maryland. Mouzon is being held in the Prince George’s Department of Corrections until he can be extradited, according to the FCPD.

Police did not announce a motive in the shooting, but did say they did not believe the incident was random.
