West Potomac’s Annie Terwilliger had a SportsCenter Top 10-worthy shot during the Wolverines victory at Lake Braddock on Tuesday night.
With 2 seconds left in the first quarter Terwilliger inbounded the ball to guard Mary Prater, who then passed it back to Terwilliger. The senior then took one dribble and nailed an 80-footer from the opposite free throw line just as time expired.
Terwilliger, a senior guard/forward and co-captain for the Wolverines, finished with a game-high 23 points on 11-16 shooting. West Potomac won 52-45 to improve to 2-0 on the season.
