Police blotter: Man facing felony charges after assault at TGI Fridays
A 58-year-old man is facing three felony charges after allegedly assaulting a patron and two police officers in the TGI Friday’s at the Beacon Center last week.
According to police, Derrick Walker is accused of “causing severe lacerations” to a customer at TGI Friday’s in an incident that happened around 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Walker is also accused of assaulting two police officers as he was being arrested.
Walker, who lives in the Route 1 area according to court records, was charged with malicious wounding and two counts of assaulting a law enforcement officer.
The person allegedly assaulted by Walker was taken to a local hospital for treatment, according to police. The attack is believed to be random, a police spokeswoman said Tuesday.
