Police blotter: Delivery man assaulted, robbed near school
A group of teenagers assaulted and robbed a delivery man on a side street bordering Mount Vernon High School on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Fairfax County Police.
The incident happened around 5:35 p.m. near the intersection of Braddock Avenue and Maryland Street (see map). The delivery driver was handing off an order to a girl when he was assaulted and robbed by a group of teenage boys, according to police.
Police did not say the extent of the driver’s injuries or what specifically was taken from him.
The location of the incident borders east end of the Mount Vernon High School property.
