Sherwood Regional Library will be closed from October 3-14 for repairs and upgrades.
Among other improvements, patrons can expect a new paint job, increased seating, new carpeting and an update to the tech lab when the library reopens on October 15, according to a message on the county’s website. The Friends of Sherwood Regional Library is helping finance the project, the county said.
During Sherwood’s closure patrons can return books and pick up holds at Martha Washington Library, Kingstowne Library or the Lorton Library.
The Friends of Sherwood Regional Library will be holding a renovation clearance sale until September 30, with half off most items. The group also asks that no book donations be made until the renovation is complete.
