Culvert replacement to close Hybla Valley street for two weeks

A side street off of Boswell Avenue in Hybla Valley will be closed for two weeks as VDOT replaces a culvert under the road.

Delafield Place, which runs between Boswell Avenue and Brentwood Place (see map), will close to through traffic on Monday morning and is planned to reopen at 5 p.m. on Friday, September 5, according to VDOT.

Residents, school buses and emergency vehicles will still have access to the road, but won’t be able to beyond the location of the repair work in either direction.

VDOT says traffic will be detoured via Boswell Avenue, Frances Drive and Brentwood Place.
