Two teenagers shot in Gum Springs area

Two teenagers were shot and wounded at a playground in the Gum Springs area last night in an incident police said may be gang-related.

The shooting happened around 11:10 p.m. in the 3000 block of Fordson Court (see map). Both victims suffered injuries that police described as non-life-threatening. One of the teenagers has already been released from the hospital, police said.

A police spokesman said the shooting is believed to be an isolated incident and that more information will be released later.

Images posted by a Fox 5 reporter on Twitter showed multiple bullet holes in sedan parked near the playground.
