Police blotter: July 22-26

The following incidents were reported in the Mount Vernon police district in the FCPD’s blotters from Tuesday through Friday.

From Friday’s blotter:

Attempted Robbery: The victim was waiting for a bus Thursday around 9:30 a.m. in the 5800 block of North Kings Highway when a man approached her and demanded her property. The suspect did not get any property and left the area. Officers found and arrested a 35-year-old Alexandria man. He was charged with attempted robbery.

Larceny: 3300 block of Lockheed Boulevard, property from residence
Larceny: 6600 block of Richmond Highway, cell phone and wallet from vehicle

Larceny: 7900 block of Bayberry Drive, wallet from vehicle
Larceny: 7400 block of Convair Drive, cash from vehicle
Larceny: 2400 block of Fairhaven Avenue, wine from business
Larceny: 2500 block of Parkers Lane, package from residence

From Tuesday’s blotter:

Burglary: A homeowner in the 3100 block of Furman Lane reported someone entered their home and stole several electronics and other personal items between July 14 and July 22.

Assault on law enforcement officer/Trespassing: A woman was arrested Monday around 9:30 a.m.for trespassing at the Aldi located at 8256 Richmond Highway. She was taken to the Adult Detention Center. When exiting the police car, she spat in the officer’s face. A 45-year-old Alexandria woman was charged with trespassing and assault on law enforcement officer.
