Police blotter: Men rob 7-Eleven while wielding axe

Two men, one carrying an axe, robbed a 7-Eleven in the Groveton area early Sunday morning, according to Monday’s police blotter.

The men entered the store at 2800 Beacon Hill Road (see map) around 2:25 a.m. and threatened employees with the axe, police said. The men, described as being between 40-50 years old, then took an undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise and fled.

No injuries were reported.

Assault: A man was walking home in the 6100 block of North Kings Highway (see map) on Saturday around 2:05 p.m. when two men on bicycles threw a brick at him and rode away. The suspects were described as Hispanic, in their 20s with short dark hair.
