One person was treated for minor injuries after a vehicle went through the wall of a ground-floor unit at the Mount Vernon Lakes condominiums off of Buckman Road on Saturday morning.

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue said the incident happened around 11 a.m. in the 4400 block Groombridge Way (see map). The driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment, the fire department said. Nobody inside the home was injured.

Firefighters from the department’s technical rescue unit shored up the unit in order for structural engineers to assess the building.
