Recent upgrades at a local laundromat feature new washers and dryers, as well self-service and full-service options.
Laundry Station, which officially opened in January after a soft launch in December 2018, is located at 2250 Huntington Avenue (see map).
A two-month renovation last fall helped to distinguish Laundry Station from the laundromat formerly located there. The revamped space includes a new plumbing system, new water heaters and optimal water pressure. The overhauled laundromat has an upgraded checkout area, as well as new furniture and folding tables.
“The facility was clean and bright,” a customer named Paige wrote in a recent review.
Laundry Station features 32 coin-operated, self-service washers and 32 dryers in several different sizes. Customers can also drop off their laundry for a Wash and Fold service that starts at $0.99 per pound.
With four employees on staff, there is always someone on site to assist customers or take Wash and Fold orders. The commercial-grade washers and dryers have proven to be convenient for individuals and businesses alike; the laundromat currently handles laundry needs for a hotel and a hair salon.
Items like detergent and fabric softener are available for purchase, so customers can come to Laundry Station with nothing but dirty clothes.
