Police blotter: Man hospitalized after 7-Eleven brawl
A man was knocked unconscious during a fight outside a Richmond Highway 7-Eleven on Monday, and a robbery attempt was reported later that night in the Groveton area, according to Tuesday’s police blotter.
The 7-Eleven fight happened around 8:45 p.m. at the store located at 8010 Richmond Highway (see map). Police say two people approached a man standing outside the store and a brawl ensued. The man was knocked out by the assailants and taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The two suspects remain at large.
The attempted robbery happened around 11:50 p.m. near the intersection of Holly Hill Road and Mason Grove Court (see map). Police say two teenagers approached a man walking his dog, implied they had a weapon and told him to give them property. However the two teens fled on foot before taking anything, according to police.

Trespassing/Resisting arrest: On Monday around 6:30 p.m. officers responded for a man who had been previously barred from a location in the 7900 block of Janna Lee Avenue. An officer observed the man and a brief foot chase ensued. A 20-year-old Alexandria man was charged with trespassing, obstruction of justice, and served with two outstanding warrants for failure to appear.
Larceny: 8800 block of Camfield Drive, cash and medication from vehicle
