The four Democratic candidates in the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Chairman race will be taking part in a forum Sunday afternoon in Gum Springs.

The forum is hosted by Virginians Organized for Interfaith Community Engagement (VOICE), and will be held at Bethlehem Baptist Church from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (see map).

VOICE says the forum will be attended by Muslim, Jewish, Christian, Unitarian, and non-believers from more than 30 institutions. Issues including One Fairfax, how the candidates will lead, and how the candidates will improve community engagement will be discussed, according to VOICE.

This will be the first candidate forum held in the Richmond Highway area so far in the Chairman race.

The four Democrats — Tim Chapman, Jeff McKay, Ryan McAlveen and Alicia Plerhoples — are vying to be the nominee in the race to replace current Chairman Sharon Bulova, who is retiring at the end of her current term. Joseph Galdo is the Republican candidate in the race.
