Updated: Missing man found safe

Update: Police said around 5:45 p.m. Friday that Thomas Harper has been found and is safe.

The Fairfax County Police are asking for the public’s help locating a 75-year-old man who went missing on Thursday evening.

Police say Thomas Harper was last seen around 6:15 p.m. leaving the 3300 block of Dona Avenue in the Burgundy Village neighborhood (see map).

Harper is endangered due to mental and/or physical issues, according to the police. Member of the FCPD’s search and rescue team are participating in the search as of Friday morning.

Harper is described as being 5 foot 9 inches tall, 145 pounds with gray hair and a beard. He was wearing jeans, a gray v-neck sweater and brown shoes when he went missing.
