Local farmers markets opening this week
Two area farmers markets kickoff their seasons this week, starting with the McCutcheon/Mount Vernon Farmers Market on Wednesday.
The McCutcheon/Mount Vernon Farmers Market will have the same hours and location as previous years, running from 8 a.m. to noon in the parking lot of Sherwood Regional Library (see map). The market will be held weekly until December 18.
You can see a list of vendors for the McCutcheon/Mount Vernon market here. The market does accept SNAP.
The Kingstowne Farmers Market opens on Friday. It is held in the Giant parking lot at the Kingstowne Center (see map) from 4-7 p.m. each week until October 18. You can see a list of vendors for the market here.
There won’t be a Huntington Farmers Market this year due to construction at the Huntington Metro station over the summer.
