Fairfax County is offering free rides throughout April on a new bus route that runs from the Franconia-Springfield Metro through Kingstowne to Inova Mount Vernon Hospital.

The new Route 308 began running on March 30. It connects Richmond Highway to Kingstowne via Jeff Todd Way, and includes a stop at the Hilltop Village Center — home to Wegmans — as well as Springfield Town Center, Manchester Lakes Shopping Center, Mount Vernon Plaza and the Gum Springs Center.

Other stops include the South County Government Center, the Mount Vernon Governmental Center and Sherwood Regional Library.

The 308 starts running at 5:45 a.m. on weekdays and makes its last stops at 10:20 p.m. On weekends it runs between 7 a.m. to 8:20 p.m.

The full schedule of stops and other information about recent Fairfax Connector changes can be found on the Fairfax County Department of Transportation’s website.
