Ides of Bark returns this Sunday

Flyer promoting the event

The Ides of Bark is back, with the annual dog festival happening this Sunday from 1-4 p.m. at Grist Mill Park (see map).

The event will feature games, prizes, food and a demonstration by the Fairfax County Police Department’s K9 unit. Vendors with dog-related stations will also be on site. Admission is free.

You can also register your dog with Fairfax County at the Ides of Bark for $10. Proof of rabies vaccination is required.

This will be the fourth Ides of Bark, which was started by former Mount Vernon District Supervisor Gerry Hyland in 2015. The event is sponsored by Mount Vernon District Supervisor Dan Storck’s office, the Fairfax County Park Foundation and the Fairfax County Park Authority.
