One block of Frye Road will be closed between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Monday to install a speed table, according to a VDOT press release.
The section of Frye Road between Keeler Street and Steadman Street will be closed to allow work on the speed table. Traffic along Frye Road will be detoured to Lawrence Street and Steadman Street before coming back to Frye Road.
The closed block of Frye Road will still be accessible for residents who live on it, as well as for emergency vehicles and school buses, VDOT said. But they won’t be able to go beyond the area where the speed table is being installed, however.
What is a speed table? Is it like a speed bump only bigger?
