The Mount Vernon-Lee Chamber of Commerce is now accepting scholarship applications from high school seniors.

To be eligible, students in the class of 2019 must live in the Mount Vernon or Lee districts, or attend one of the seven high schools (Edison, Hayfield, Mount Vernon, West Potomac, Bryant, South County or Lee) in the district.

You can apply on the Chamber’s website, or you can call them at 703-360-6925 to get a copy. In addition to the applications, students need to submit their academic transcripts.

The application deadline is April 26. Students will be informed of the Chamber’s decisions on May 3.

The Chamber has more than $12,000 in scholarship money available, and gave $12,500 worth of scholarships to eight students in 2018.
