Police blotter: Pedestrian approached by man committing lewd act

A woman walking home in the Sacramento Drive area had a run-in with a man committing a lewd act Friday afternoon, according to Tuesday’s Fairfax County Police blotter.

The woman was walking the in 8600 block of Village Square Drive (see map) around 5:20 when a man came towards her while masturbating, police said. The woman shouted and the man ran away.

Police described the suspect as a black man betweeen 20-25 years old, wearing a red sweathert and black pants.

Burglary: Officers responded to a burglary report in the 8200 block of Russell Road (see map) on February 8 around 8:40 a.m. Police say a 42-year-old Alexandria woman entered the victim’s apartment and took items. She was charged with burglary and petit larceny.
