Police blotter: Man flees traffic stop, drives to his home
A man from the Woodlawn area is facing DUI and other charges after fleeing a traffic stop and leading officers on a chase that ended at his house, according to Monday’s Fairfax County Police blotter.
The 51-year-old suspect is accused of driving away from officers after being pulled over in the 8400 block of Frye Road (see map) on Sunday night around 10:14 p.m. Police say the suspect had been driving erratically, and when an officer walked to his car, Ruffner drove away.
The pursuit ended about 1.5 miles away when the suspect stopped at his home in the 8400 block of Orinda Court, according to police.
In addition to his DUI charge, the suspect faces charges of refusal to take a breath test, eluding and resisting arrest.

Robbery: A man was sleeping in his car on Friday morning around 10:30 a.m. in the 2600 block of Arlington Drive when he woke up to a man tapping on his window. He saw two men, one was holding a gun and the other held a knife. The men forced him out of his car, assaulted him and took his money before they ran away.
