Huntington ABC store opens

The new Virginia ABC store is located in the ground-level retail at the Huntington Gateway.

The area’s newest ABC store opened for business on Monday.

Located in the Shops of Huntington Gateway at 5982 Richmond Highway (see map), the store fills a long-vacant, 3,098 square-foot space located next to the retail center’s Huntington Avenue entrance.

The new store’s hours are 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and noon-6 p.m. on Sundays. The store currently has seven employees, according to an ABC spokeswoman.

The ABC store is the fourth in the greater Richmond Highway area, with other locations operating in the Belle View Shopping Center, Mount Vernon Square, Engleside Plaza and the Rose Hill Shopping Center.
