Update: More than 500 without power near Inova Mount Vernon

Dominion Energy is reporting that more than 500 customers are without power near Inova Mount Vernon Hospital as of 1:30 p.m. Power has been restored for the more than 500 customers who lost power in the Buckman Road area earlier this morning.

Power is expected to be restored between 2-7p.m., according to Dominion. The cause of the outage is pending investigation, although windy conditions have brought down branches around the area. The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory through 4 p.m., and gusts up to 50-55 mph are possible.
No other outages are currently reported in the Richmond Highway area.
