Jimmy John’s set to open at Belvoir Square early in new year

The sign is up now at the Belvoir Square Jimmy John’s.

Belvoir Square’s first retail tenant, Jimmy John’s, will be opening its doors as early as January 9, a representative of the luxury apartment building’s commercial real estate firm told Covering the Corridor.

Signage for the restaurant was installed this past week following months of internal construction in the ground-floor retail space.

Dallon Cheney, principal at KLNB, said they soon will be announcing other new retail tenants at Belvoir Square, which is located at 9142 Richmond Highway (see map).

“We’re excited about the amenities we’ll be offering there,” he said.

A site plan on KLNB’s website shows a nail salon, barber shop and Chase ATM vestibule occupying part of the storefront, with three additional spaces still open. Besides maintaining 55 covered retail parking spaces, Belvoir Square plans to add an additional 15 outdoor retail parking spaces to its existing 17 spaces by January 2019, according to the site plan.

Cheney was uncertain about specific plans for a grand opening event at Jimmy John’s but noted that the sub shop is known for holding them.

A sign outside Belvoir Square says that the apartment building has under 20 homes remaining for lease. The building, which opened in 2017, has a total of 282 apartment units and just over 10,500 square feet of retail space.
