New pho restaurant in Hybla Valley opening on Sunday
Pho 777 in Hybla Valley will open for business on Sunday morning, according to owner Mimi Tran.
The new Vietnamese soup restaurant is located at 7770 Richmond Highway (see map), in a space previously occupied by sweetFrog. It will open at 10 a.m. on Sunday and operate seven days a week for dine-in and carry-out orders. In the future the restaurant will likely have delivery as an option too, Tran said.
In addition to pho — which is a Vietnamese soup with broth, noodles and other ingredients — Tran said Pho 777 will also feature certain specialty meals that are offered once a week or so. But Tran said for now, “pho is the main focus.”
For Tran, the restaurant’s opening fulfills a longtime dream. She immigrated to the United States 24 years ago, learned English and then went to school to become a network engineer. But her family had been in the restaurant business in Vietnam, and it was always something she hoped to get back into in the U.S.
“We haven’t had the opportunity to do it yet,” said Tran, whose husband is also helping with the restaurant. “But finally it’s happened.”
I wish them success with they new restaurant, they will find many obstacles in the way but please don’t give up, everything will be fine with the help of god.
