Police blotter: Robbery reported at Huntington-area apartment building
A man wearing a mask pulled a handgun on multiple people waiting for an elevator early Friday morning in the Huntington area, according to today’s Fairfax County Police blotter.
The incident happened around 2 a.m. in the 6000 block of Richmond Highway (see map). The victims were approached while they were waiting for an elevator. Police did not specify which apartment complex the incident happened at, but the CitySide Huntington Metro complex is located on that block.
The robber ran off after taking an undisclosed amount of money. Police did not say if any injuries were reported.

Robbery: A man entered the store in the 8700 block of Sacramento Drive on Tuesday morning around 8:30 a.m. and displayed a large knife to the clerk. The man took cash from the registers and left the store. Police say the suspect is believed to be in his early twenties, with a thin build and dreadlocks.

Incidents reported in the Mount Vernon district in Tuesday’s blotter:
Assault on law enforcement: Officers responded for a complaint of drunk people in the area of the 5900 block of Williamsburg Road on Monday around 8 a.m. They found a man who appeared to be intoxicated. While the man was sitting on the ground, he allegedly grabbed an officer’s wrist and refused to let go. When the officers tried to arrest him, he allegedly resisted and assaulted the officers even after being placed in handcuffs.
Kevin Epps, 30, was charged with three counts of assault on a law enforcement officer and intoxication in public. He was held without bond.
