Burglary: An employee reported a man entered his business in the 7400 block of Mount Vernon Square Center around 3:45 a.m. on Aug. 2 by breaking the front glass door. The employee saw the man on his camera system. He ran away from the business after stealing an item.

Larceny: 7700 block of Richmond Highway, tool from business
