Police release video of man suspected of multiple burglaries in area

Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man suspected of burglarizing multiple homes in the Richmond Highway area this summer.

The burglaries took place between June 28 and July 11 in the Huntington, Hybla Valley and South County areas, according to police. The break-ins tend to happen in the morning or early afternoon, police said.

Police say the suspect, who can be seen in the home security video above, has a thin build and appears to be in his early 20s. Anyone with information is asked to call the Mount Vernon District Station at 703-360-8400. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the Crime Solvers website, or texted to “TIP187” plus the message to CRIMES (274637). Anonymous tipsters may be eligible for a reward between $100-$1,000 if their tip leads to an arrest, police said.
