Construction on a new Bank of America is slated to begin later this summer in front of the Mount Vernon Crossroads shopping center in Hybla Valley.
The bank is scheduled to open sometime in the late fall or early winter, according to Bank of America spokesman Andy Aldridge.
The bank will be constructed in the northeast end of the strip mall’s parking lot, across from Pep Boys and next to Belford Drive. The bank’s address will be 7812 Richmond Highway.
The new location will be the second Bank of America location in the Route 1 corridor, with a branch just up the highway on Beacon Hill.
OMG WHY?? Why two of the same name bank within a mile??? Richmond Highway just can’t get diversified! Please bring something NEW, different, pretty, unusual, tasty (as in new restaurants) to help the corridor!
Agree. Richmond Hwy needs a new tasty restaurant rather than another Bank of America. With people doing more on-line banking, this doesn’t seem to be the wave of future.
