Police investigating possible sexual assault at Fort Hunt Park

The U.S. Park Police said Wednesday that detectives are looking into a reported sexual assault at Fort Hunt Park.

Park Police officers initially arrived at the park around 9:30 a.m., according to a witness. A police helicopter later showed up to assist, as well as officers from Fairfax County.

A Park Police spokesman had no further details on the investigation as of 1:30 p.m.
