Police were tipped off to the location of a suspect Thursday evening and ended up arresting a man in the Penn Daw area who was wanted for “numerous” diamond thefts in the region, according to Friday’s Fairfax County Police blotter.

Enes Marko Kimmel, 20, was taken into custody in the 6300 block of Richmond Highway around 7:30 p.m., police said. He faces two charges of grand larceny, two counts of larceny with intent to distribute, and was also served with two outstanding warrants.

Police said Kimmel allegedly stole the diamonds in Fairfax County and “surrounding jurisdictions,” but did not specify when the thefts occurred. They also did not disclose the value and number of diamonds that were taken.

Chase ends in arrest:

A brief car chase and foot pursuit in the Janna Lee Avenue area ended with a man being taken into custody last night on multiple charges, according to Friday’s blotter.

He was also served with four outstanding warrants, and online court records indicate those include misdemeanor charges of firearm brandishing, simple assault, and distribution of marijuana.

Police say they tried to stop a Ford Fusion near the intersection of Janna Lee Avenue and Woohue lane around 11:15 p.m. The car didn’t stop, and a pursuit continued in the 7900 block of Janna Lee. At that point, police say Ross bailed out of the car and fled on foot.
