The Rite Aid on the corner of Richmond Highway and Beacon Hill Road was robbed Sunday evening, according to the Fairfax County Police.

The assailant entered the Rite Aid around 6:45 p.m. and pulled a gun on an employee, according to police. The man took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled. The incident drew a large police response, including the Fairfax1 helicopter, but the suspect was not found.

Police say nobody was hurt in the incident.

Sunday’s robbery came exactly a week after another robbery in nearly the same location. That incident, on March 4, involved a man leaving the Walgreens across from the Rite Aid. He accosted and mugged by three individuals, according to police.

Sunday’s Rite Aid robbery also marked the second time a Route 1 retail pharmacy has been robbed in the past three weeks. On Feb. 23 the CVS at the corner of Lockheed Boulevard and Richmond Highway was also held up by a man with a gun
