Police: One stabbed, one shot in Buckman Road incident
One person was shot and one person was stabbed Tuesday night in the 3500 block of Buckman Road, according to the Fairfax County Police.
Police say they responded to a call about a stabbing a little before 10 p.m., and when they got to the scene, they were directed to an apartment where a man was suffering from gunshot wounds. He was given first aid and then taken to the hospital for injuries that are non-life-threatening, police said.
The stabbing victim initially refused treatment at the scene, police say. He was later driven to the hospital to treat a cut to his upper body.
Police searched for a suspect who fled the scene on foot. The Fairfax1 helicopter assisted with the search, and a witness told CoveringTheCorridor.com that there was a large police presence near the Gum Springs Community Center in the 8100 block of Fordson Road.
No suspect description was given, and police say Wednesday that some witnesses at the scene were not cooperating.
