Police: Remains found near Richmond Highway in Groveton area
Fairfax County Police homicide detectives are investigating skeletal remains found just off of Richmond Highway in the Groveton area on Thursday morning.
The remains were found in a wooded area in the 2900 block of East Lee Avenue, which also borders the 6900 block of Richmond Highway. Police said the spot is known to be a homeless camp.
Workers clearing the wooded area for a nearby construction project found the remains around 10:15 a.m. Prior to discovering the remains, they had found a wallet, which contained an ID card with an address for a local shelter, police said.
Detectives are working with the medical examiner to confirm the identity of the remains and cause of death, police said.

I live near there and go by there every day. Been here 22 years and never heard of a homeless camp there, never seen anything to suggest it.
But if they say so….
Since when is it a homeless camp? I lived there for years and never ever seen a homeless person over there. Is that what they are calling it so people think it was a homeless person
