Yellow Line only running between Huntington and airport this weekend
Riders who use the Yellow Line from the Huntington Metro will need to find an alternative to access points beyond Reagan National Airport this holiday weekend.
Starting at 7 a.m. Saturday and lasting through closing on Monday night, no inbound or outbound Yellow Line trains will be running between the airport and Mount Vernon Square due to an annual inspection of the bridge over the Potomac River, radio cable installation and fastener renewal, according to WMATA.
Metro recommends that riders needing to get to the city take the Blue Line instead. Riders leaving from Huntington can transfer to the Blue Line at either the King Street, Braddock Road or Reagan National Airport stops.
All trains leaving from Huntington will operate on a regular weekend schedule (departures every 12-15 minutes) from Saturday through closing on Monday.
You can get additional information about this weekend’s schedule changes at the WMATA website.
