Fried chicken and sub restaurant to replace Wings To Go at Mount Vernon Plaza

Wings To Go in the Mount Vernon Plaza shopping center closed in mid-December.

A new restaurant specializing in fried chicken and subs will be replacing the Wings To Go in the Mount Vernon Plaza shopping center.

Two Brothers Chicken and Subs is expected to open some time before the end of the month at 7678C Richmond Highway, said Usman Tufail, one of the restaurant’s owners.

Two Brothers Chicken and Subs opened its first location in Woodbridge in 2009. It is not related to Two Bros. Soul Food, which was formerly located on Richmond Highway.

Tufail said the menu for the Route 1 location will be the same as the menu at its Woodbridge shop. 

“We are a fast causal restaurant that serves All-American cuisine such as Fried chicken, Subs, Burgers, Pizza & Wings,” the restaurant says on its Facebook page. “All of our food and ingredients are fresh and made to order.”

Wings To Go closed in mid-December. Attempts to get more information from the company about the closure were unsuccessful.
