Moussa’s mom speaks out; more info on mysterious call
Jholie Moussa’s mother spoke to FOX 5 on Monday, her first public comments since her daughter was found dead last Friday in Woodlawn Park.
Syreeta Hill said she is frustrated by the police’s handling of her daughter’s case. Jholie Moussa left her home on Jan. 12 and was not seen or heard from again. Police investigated Moussa’s disappearance but classified her case as a runaway, and said there was no evidence that Moussa was in danger.
Hill believes more could have been done, and said she will advocate for changes in how missing persons cases like her daughter’s are handled in the future.
“It hurt me how it was handled,” Moussa told FOX 5’s Evan Lambert. “It just hurt because I know my child and I know that it was out of character for her not to come home.”
The police also said Monday that Jholie Moussa’s body had been positively identified by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Full autopsy results are pending, and a police spokesman told Covering The Corridor that information such as cause of death and time of death will not be available until the autopsy is complete.
Police also said that they believe Moussa’s death to be an isolated incident.

This death could have been avoided had the police did their job. Not all teens run away from home for no reason. The police didn’t take this serious at all! Another life gone to soon!
You can’t blame the police for this girl’s death. She was assaulted and no one reported the incident. If you as a parent you don’t know what’s going on in your child’s life. How do you expect anyone else to do what you can’t do as a parent. Jholi made a mistake just like any teenager would do, and sadly it did cost her life. Lots of teens unknowingly hangout with bad actors, it’s part of growing up.
It is their fault….the first 48 hours is critical THEY did nothing she knee it wasnt her childs behavior………….so GTFOOH!!!!!!!!
The wealthiest county with lots of resources failed this girl. They could have kept cops sitting in that area at the park like they sit in the parking lots on route one every day in groups of 3 or more. They were too busy trying to harrass black men. The system failed her.
