Police blotter: Two people assaulted, robbed on Lockheed Boulevard
A man and his friend were assaulted and robbed by a stranger who wanted to use one of their cell phones Friday afternoon, according to Monday’s Fairfax County police blotter.
The incident happened in the 3200 block of Lockheed Boulevard (see map) around 1 p.m., police said. The first victim was walking down the street with the friend when the assailant first approached. The victim told the stranger he didn’t have a phone and kept walking with his friend, but the stranger again came up to him and demanded one of them give over their phones, police said. When the victim and his friend again said no, a struggle ensued, according to police.
A person walking by helped separate the victims and the assailant, but not before the assailant was able to steal the first victim’s debit card. The robber fled and police said they were unable to locate him.
