Police blotter: Walmart thieves caught, robbery reported

Walmart

A pair of youngsters didn’t get far after allegedly stealing more than $300 worth of merchandise from the Hybla Valley Walmart on Thanksgiving.

Two juveniles led police officers on a foot chase around 7:50 p.m. after allegedly stealing the items from the Walmart at 7910 Richmond Highway, according to Monday’s police blotter. The boys were caught — police did not say how far they got — and each is facing larceny charges.

On Friday night, police say that a man was robbed of his phone, wallet and keys in the 3800 block of Laramie Place (see map). The assailant pulled a weapon on the victim, but the victim did not need medical attention, police said.
