Weekend police blotter: Man jumped outside of TGI Fridays, 7-Eleven robbed

Three men assaulted and robbed a man outside the TGI Fridays at the Beacon Center early Saturday morning, according to today’s police blotter.

The victim was shoved and punched as he was getting into his car around 2 a.m., police said. One of the three men pulled a knife and threatened the victim, whil e another assailant took money.

The victim’s injuries were described as minor by a police spokeswoman. 

The victim believed the suspects may have been inside the restaurant prior to the incident, according to the spokeswoman. The first suspect was described as a black male, 25-30 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and black shoes. The second suspect was also a black male, 20-30 years old, 6 feet 1 inch to 6 feet 2 inches tall, wearing a red jacket, black pants, and white shoes. The third suspect was said to be a white male, 25-30 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt, khaki shorts, and black shoes.

Woodlawn 7-Eleven robbed

The 7-Eleven at the corner of Richmond Highway and Lukens Lane was robbed early Sunday monring, according to police. A man wearing a hood and with his face covered entered the store, pulled a gun on the employees and fled with money. No injuries were reported.

Arrest after robbery attempt

A daytime robbery attempt on Sunday in the Hybla Valley area resulted in the arrest of 27-year-old man, police said.

Isaias Castro of Alexandria is accused of pulling a knife on a person walking home around 4:10 p.m. in the 3100 block of Lockheed Boulevard. Police say Castro pulled a knife after the victim refused to hand over money. The victim ran from the scene and called police, who then arrested the suspect.
