Pedestrian struck by vehicle on Richmond Highway
A person was struck and injured by a vehicle on Richmond Highway this afternoon.
The incident happened around 4:45 p.m. in the 7500 block of Richmond Highway, just south of the intersection of Arlington Drive. A police spokeswoman said the victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A witness reported that the male victim was treated by paramedics in the roadway. No charges have been filed as of this time, the spokeswoman said.
The crash closed the southbound lanes of the road for a time, requiring all three lanes to traffic to be diverted through the parking lots of two small shopping buildings on the west side of the highway.
No further details about the crash were available this evening.
Doesn’t appear to be a crosswalk where the pedestrian was hit.
There’s not he would have walked no more Than 2 mins to use crosswalk
Maybe that extra two minutes would have been worth it?
